A real mobile app

LighterPack is web-only. It works in a browser on your phone but it's not a great experience. Packu is built as a native app for iOS and Android, plus Mac and web. Your gear is always with you whether you're at the trailhead or on the couch planning your next trip.

Consumables built in, not bolted on

LighterPack lets you tag items as consumable, but there's no dedicated place to save your go-to trail food, water volumes and fuel. Packu has a separate consumables section where you build a library of everything you regularly take. When planning a trip, just pull in what you need based on duration and conditions, and each item's weight flows into the right section of your packing list automatically.
